Title for the video presentation
Hi, All
I have finished the Title design, hope you all like it. although it is not a long video, I really spend lots of time working on it. The video start with grey background, I was thinking to add some colours to the title, but consider next view is a drop on the map then expended into 3 individual colours( Anka is going to do this animation), I think it would be very surprised that audience watching the colour suddenly shows up....
It's my first time start doing animation and video stuff, really enjoying it! hopeful have chance to improve this skill in the future. Any comments are welcome!
Thanks, Lili

Colour animation
Hi
Here's the colour animation I mentioned in last week's class. Perhaps we can add some of this as a semi-transparent layer onto some of our film? The first section is black and white but it soon becomes multi-coloured so please persist!

TITLE DESIGN
As we discussed before, I am in charge of the title design for our visualization project, so there is an example to show an excellent title design( some of you may have not seen it last Friday) , but it possibility very difficult to achieve the same effects, I will do my best------Lili

Videos
Researched a few videos for ideas. If we could all put 3-5 up would have good resource to pull our ideas from....
1. Friend of mines website. Won a competition with this video. Check out his graphics stuff aswell, its really good.

2. Old Honda advert. Love it.

3. Bit tripy and long but class. Not sure but don t think its that hard to do, well parts of it anyway
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuGaqLT-gO4
4. Simple graphics, but effective
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYlg6zaGlL8
5. This is just good for the 3D massing model. Could create something similar

Some tutorials for simple animation: worth looking at.

Flooding the Royal Docks with colour - model, first iteration
Hi everyone
Here's the video of the making of our first Royal Docks model... It's a bit grainy - I'll look into getting it converted into a different format shortly. I can also only get it up to double speed on my computer - don't think that's quite fast enough. But it's a taste of what's to come!

GROUP OBJECTIVE
We have decided we want to incorporate as many of our existing digital skills as possible as well as learning new skills.
Upon consultation with course tutor, David Watson, we think that video editing might give us the flexibility that we want to present out project on a convincing and exciting way.
With video editing material we can incorporate 3D Autocad massing models, walk throughs in 3D max detailed/rendered areas, photoshop rendered 'scenes' to give an idea of a particular development, vox pop interviews with people who live/work or visit our site area etc.
TASKS
Before our next meeting we need to:
1) research inspiring design videos and posting them on the blog for the group to share. Googling Design blogs and looking around on you tube might be a good idea.
2) pretty unanimously we all want to learn 3D cad, so we need to look at online tutorials of 3D cad to give us the knowledge we need to create our massing model.
Good places to look for 3D Autocad basics
There are also tutorials on
3) decide on our design (UDP on Wednesday)
4) JH to set up a free website and move the blog there and make it the centralised repository of our work/project.
